Weekend progress

Kyle worked doubletime on the RX-8 this weekend and got a lot of stuff accomplished. He is probably taking a nap in the shop again having worked day and night, so here’s what was done this weekend.

Mishimoto radiator and oil coolers up front

Most of the plumbing has been completed – no doubt one of the most time consuming parts of the build. Next to do up here is install our Spearco intercooler, custom exhaust manifold, and Turbonetics turbo.

Fuel cell and firewall fabrication

Interior work is nearly completed with the fuel cell, dash, seats, and e-brake installed. Interior paint and cage work has been completed for a little while.

New suspension from JIC Magic is now on the car at all four corners. JIC provided us with custom valving and spring rates for this car. Kyle used JIC on his FC RX-7 and loved it so much he had to go for the same setup on the RX-8.

In case you were wondering, BARW = Big Ass Rear Wing. If he ever takes it off I’ll bet it could double for a park bench. Look for custom endplates to go finish the wing off.
